Needing Some Routine?

Have you ever thought of the importance of a routine? Yes some may say that it can be boring doing the same thing over and over again, however it is important to have something I like to call an adaptable routine.


An adaptable routine is when you have a routine that you can easily change and adapt depending on your energy and mood. As long as you have created a healthy habit that is all that matters. For example, an exercise routine - you create a routine whereby you exercise three days a week, let us say a Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is a healthy routine to have, and it is an adaptable routine as every week you change up your exercise depending on how you feel. Do you feel strong? Sick? Energetic? What is your body telling you? How can you stick to your healthy habit but adapt it to your needs if necessary.


By having this type of routine in your life you can make conscious choices regarding your body and still have this habit without it being detrimental to you as a person. Routine creates consistency and keeps you focused. So it important to create sustainable routines that can improve you as a person.

Another example is skincare. Your skin is constantly changing and adapting to your environment. It is exposed to pollution, UV rays, dirt and harmful chemicals. It is important to have a routine that you can adapt depending on how your skin is feeling at any point in time as well as your time constraints as a person. By doing this you can keep your skin happy and healthy without taking out huge amounts of time.


Examples of Reduce Skincare routines you can follow are:


Daily Routine

1. Damp your face while washing and cleanse using your Lavender and Lemongrass (L&L) Face Wash.

2. After you have washed apply your L&L Toner to a cotton pad and wipe any excess dirt or cleanser from your face.

3. Apply 2 to 3 drops of your L&L Facial Oil to your palm and massage into your skin.


Weekly Routine

(Depending on your time available you can complete this skin routine once or twice a week and mix it up if you desire to do a DIY steam or any extractions etc...)


1. Damp your face while washing and cleanse using your Lavender and Lemongrass (L&L) Face Wash.

2. Using your Grapefruit or Coffee Scrub, exfoliate your face and/or body (remember to wash your body before hand if you are doing a full body exfoliation or you can do a dry scrub). Wash off with warm water.

3. After you have washed apply your L&L Toner to a cotton pad and wipe any excess dirt or cleanser from your face.

4. Apply your Bentonite or Kaolin Clay Mask with your hands or mask brush and leave to dry for 10 to 15 minutes.

5. Wash off with warm water.

6. Pat dry, tone and moisturise using your L&L Facial Oil.
