Hemp Seed Oil - What you need to know

What is Hemp Seed Oil?

Hemp seed oil is a beautiful non-comedogenic oil that is derived from the pressing of hemp seeds. It forms part of the cannabis family and contains 0% to 0.3% THC (which means it does not give you the “high” associated with marijuana) in it and although it does not contain any CBD it is still an amazing oil for cooking and skincare products.

The hemp seed contains essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals and amino acids. As already mentioned hemp seed oil is non-comedogenic, which means it does not clog your pores (which causes breakouts) so it reduces acne and it also helps with inflammation such as rashes, eczema, psoriasis and any sensitivity. It is most commonly used by those with combination skin or acne-prone skin.

The Benefits of Hemp Seed Oil

  • Reduces inflammation of the skin - it is therefore beautiful for sensitive skin, breakouts and post-shaving

  • Moisturises and hydrates the skin

  • Regulates the oil production of the skin - which is amazing for acne-prone skin as it reduces the oil amount naturally produced to help balance out your oil levels

  • Soothes and smooths

Our Products

We have incorporated hemp seed oil into a few of our products. These include:

Lavender and Lemongrass Facial Oil for Oily Skin

Our facial oil for oily skin contains hemp seed oil as well as neem and grapeseed oil. The combination of these oils and most importantly the hemp seed oil helps to regulate the oil levels of oily and acne-prone skin, smoothing out the complexion and leaving the skin smooth and supple.

Gent’s Range - Aftershave, Beard Wax and Beard Oil

The base oil used in our Gent's Range is hemp seed oil. Due to its moisturising and anti-inflammatory properties, it is beautiful for soothing the skin post-shaving. It also contains essential fatty acids which moisturise and soften the hair, promoting hair growth and also reduces dry and itchy skin underneath the beard. The best part is that it is also non-greasy so you do not need to worry about extra oily facial hair!
